What! What! What! – Sound familiar to you? It should, because you do not hear well and the people around will not enjoy being around you. And don’t say they are not speaking loud enough or they are mumbling. Take responsibility and do something about it. I did, and my name is Rodney Dow. I’m 71 years old still in good health and staying in shape but losing something that was missing in my life and that was not hearing well.

Twelve years ago I tried hearing aids, and I would say it was a disaster and gave up. What I didn’t realize was it was not the hearing aids, it was the person that fitted me with them. Twelve years later a close friend recommended to talk to the people at Huntington Hearing. However, before going to Huntington Hearing, I did my research into not hearing well, what makes a good audiologist and more, not wanting to make the same mistake I did twelve years ago. As they say older and wiser!! So two months ago I went to Huntington Hearting, and I can unequivocally say I’m back in the real world, feeling more alive and having people tell me, hey Rodney you look and sound great, then I tell them I’m wearing hearing aids.
THANK YOU HUNTINGTON HEARING! You have changed my life, I think you are The Best of The Best and here is why. The office consists of 3 highly trained audiologist with years of experience (I worked with Bari Vecchio). Comprehensive hearing exam working not only on the sound of tones but on spoken words.
Friendly and patience. Flexible pay plan. Friendly staff. And more. In closing, hearing aids are not inexpensive, so it is essential to find the right folks who will help you get the most out of your hearing aids. And besides, I found out a little tidbit of information while doing my research that could make the cost of your hearing aids priceless.
When you get tired of saying What! What! What! The next step is you start shutting down and not listening and going into your own little world. This is not good as your brain is slowing down and there is research showing that not hearing well can lead to early Dementia.
My name is Norman W. and I am a Juilliard graduate, a published composer, teacher, the musical director of 2 musical shows and---- I'm hearing impaired. Needless to say, my ears are of crucial importance to my career, and of course, being able to listen to my beloved classical music. Since my disability lies in the upper partials, hearing a full orchestration the way the composer intended is not possible. That is until I met the wonderful folks at Huntington Hearing. They set me up with a pair of hearing aids and I must honestly say that it is a brand new world now. My wife no longer has to endure my constant utterances - What?", "Say again" and the "I can't hear you". My biggest treat, aside from being able to enjoy my music again, is understanding my grandchildren better. I can even understand most conversation in the car, even from the back seat! I am indebted to the professional and warm people at Huntington Hearing.

I am writing this letter to let you know how very pleased I am with Seth Ofgang, one of the audiologists at Huntington Hearing. He is a very efficient and caring individual. It is hard to find these qualities in today's society. Mr. Ofgang gave me a very thorough hearing test and then showed me different hearing aids that would work for me. I tried on a pair in the office and he set them to compensate for my hearing loss. I was amazed at the quality of the sound I was hearing. I didn't want to take them off!!!! I look forward to a long and beneficial relationship with Huntington Hearing.

I have been wearing hearing aids for 11 years and have been a patient at Huntington Hearing since the start. Recently I saw Jan for a hearing recheck and decided to upgrade my hearing aids at her recommendation. She patiently explained all the new technology that was available and didn't pressure me at all. She took the time to answer every question I asked. With Jan's help I am happy to say that I am hearing better than ever. I am so pleased that she took the time to help me understand how the new hearing aids could help me and she was right - they do! Jan, you are such a caring person. Thank you!

It has been more than a year since I acquired my first pair of digital hearing aids from Huntington Hearing and I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the aids and with the service I have received at Huntington Hearing. In fact, I am so pleased with my new hearing aids that I don't want to risk being without them, so I have ordered a second set! Bari, an equally pleasant part of my experience has been dealing with you. From my first visit you displayed a professionalism that convinced me I had come to the right place. You explained my hearing loss and the available hearing aids that could help. You were quite knowledgeable and gave me plenty of useful information, but NO sales pressure. That was refreshing! I look forward to a long relationship with Huntington Hearing.

Dear Seth, I want to express my sincere thanks to you for your care and helpful advice about my hearing loss. Your recommendations were exactly what I needed. Thank you for helping me get adjusted to my new hearing aids. I wouldn't trust my hearing to anyone else!

I was talked into getting a hearing aid by members of my family and I really didn't think they were going to help me because I didn't really think I had too much hearing trouble. But the audiologists at Huntington Hearing convinced me to try hearing aids and offered me a 100% refund if I didn't find them helpful. That was over 5 years ago and now I can honestly say I don't know how I got along without them. I have seen all 3 of the audiologists at Huntington Hearing and found they are all so patient and so genuine. I am so grateful to my family for encouraging me to come to Huntington Hearing. The staff there are the best around.

I was advised by my physician to go to Huntington Hearing. He told me "they won't just sell you anything. They will take the time to get you the right hearing aids for you". From the moment I walked into the office great care was taken to ensure my specific hearing needs were met. It took several visits, but the staff at Huntington Hearing never lost patience, and I am happy to say that 10 years later I am just as satisfied with the service and expertise I receive now as I was when I first came through their door. I am grateful to my doctor for insisting I go to the best!

Dear Bari, I remember sitting on the floor in the sound booth with my 5 year old daughter while you administered a hearing test. I have had a severe hearing loss in both ears and have worn hearing aids since I was her age, so naturally I was concerned when the test took a long time. When it was done and you told me that my little girl had a hearing loss very similar to mine, I cried. It was hard to hear that diagnosis but you were amazing and kind. I remember you hugged me tight and reminded me that she was going to be just fine. She just needed hearing aids. You promised me you would be there to help her adjust every step of the way, and you kept your promise. Because of your help and influence, my daughter has worn her hearing aids proudly. She thrived academically, socially and emotionally. She is in college now and accomplished everything she set her mind to. In all the 40 years that I have been wearing hearing aids and going to audiologists for tests, YOU are the most reliable, knowledgeable and understanding in all situations. I hope you realize that you have made a difference in my life and in my daughter's life. I am thankful for your time, patience, and your expert recommendations.

Dear Seth, I am writing to thank you for the wonderful gift you have given me...my hearing! You are truly a remarkable and caring person. It is so wonderful to know that you are always willing to reach out beyond your normal job responsibilities and help someone like me. I suffer from Parkinson's Disease and so it has been difficult for me to master skills like changing the batteries and even getting the aids in my ears. You have been so patient. You spent so much time working on different strategies to help me use the hearing aids independently. I can't tell you what it has meant to me and to my family to be able to talk together and socialize. You have brought me back from a very dark and sad place and I cannot thank you enough!

Dear Jan, I wanted to write and thank you for seeing me unexpectedly last month. I walked in with no appointment expecting to be turned away but you delayed your lunch so that you could take care of me. After looking in my ear and checking my hearing, you made arrangements for me to see a specialist near by. You explained that it looked like it might be an infection in my ear and you answered every question I came up with. Then you walked me over to the doctor's office personally and made sure I was taken care of. I am so grateful to you because I actually did have a serious ear infection and I didn't even know it. I can't remember any doctor or professional going so far above and beyond to help me. You are truly a special person and a dedicated professional. Thank you so much!
